This compact LVDS-to-TTL converter module enables a mainboard that outputs only LVDS signals to drive a standard RGB (TTL) interface display. It accepts four differential LVDS data lanes and one LVDS clock lane (compliant with EIA/TIA-644), and decodes them into 28-bit parallel TTL data plus control signals. The converted output includes 8-bit red, 8-bit green, and 8-bit blue (RGB) data buses, along with pixel clock (PCLK), horizontal sync (HSD), vertical sync (VSD), and data enable (DEN). Thus, any RGB TTL display with a 3.3V parallel interface can be directly driven.
Key specifications: The LVDS input clock ranges from 20 MHz to 85 MHz, supporting total data rates up to 2380 Mbps. The module works with popular LVDS transmitters such as DS90CR285, SN65LVDS93, and GM8283C. It is ideal for VGA, SVGA, SXGA, and UXGA resolutions. A built-in backlight driver can power up to 10 series LEDs or 3S10P arrays. Power requirement is 5V ±0.1 / 1A, and the operating temperature spans -30°C to +80°C.
In practical use, the mainboard’s LVDS output connects directly to the module’s LVDS input pins (DCLK±, D0± to D3±). The module then outputs RGB parallel data and timing signals, which connect to the RGB TTL display. This solves the common problem of driving legacy RGB panels from modern LVDS-only processors.
